My dear friend once tweeted:
“Love is selfishness in disguise. When the cost’s too high and compromise turned shit; u row this boat, I’m taking ferry,”
to which I replied:
“Often we’re too drawn in rowing the boat, not noticing that we’re heading towards a different shore.”
To think of it, probably the end had not changed at all. Probably fast moving tidal waves caught us off-guard repeatedly that the boat broke down and the water started to leak in. One of us apparently was too afraid that holding on to each other was not an appealing option. Escape it was.
